Policies and Procedures are important for you, your child and the childminder
As a registered childminder, I produce a portfolio of my services to all parents/carers. This includes a list of forms/policies which the parent/carer can take away to read at any time as art of their induction. These policies include:
Admissions policy
Behavioural policy
Care, learning & play policy
Caring for sick children policy
Child protection policy
Emergency & evacuation procedures
Enrolment and settling in procedures
Food and drink
Health and safety policy
House rules policy
Parent/carers policy
Confidentiality policy
Complaints policy/procedure
All parents/carers are required to complete all contract forms and read the policies. Permission forms will be brought to your
attention also when required. Some parents may think find this process excessive, but childminding has moved on considerably and all must follow strict guidelines, be registered by the Care Inspectorate, have appropriate qualifications and training as well as being adequately insured and regularly inspected.
